Hledan Junction
Kamayut Township, Yangon
The crossing at the heart of Yangon's university quarter, rebuilt as a
real-time map. This is the same geometry that runs in the mobile build —
re-exported, cleaned up, and pushed straight to WebGL.
If you know Hledan, you know it by the shape of an ordinary evening:
buses stacking up under the flyover, tea-shop stools out on the
pavement by four, the bookstalls, and a crossing everybody learns to
time. Half the people who grew up on that corner are somewhere else
now. This is here so you can walk it again from wherever that is —
set it to golden hour and it is about right.
The original export carried twelve cameras, nine lights and five ground
planes stacked twelve millimetres apart. All of it is gone here; what is
left is the city.
Play drops a Straw Hat onto the street. Movement, kit and
cooldowns are the same model as the Elbaf
build — 5.6 m/s, sprint at 1.75x, gravity −18, coyote time, one air
jump — with no physics engine anywhere in it.
Ground height comes from a 171 KB PNG; what you can walk into comes
from the map's own triangles, sorted at load into walls and floors.
That is why you can walk under the flyover rather than on top
of it, and why the pavements under the trees are open: a height field
with one layer per cell cannot hold a road beneath a bridge, and the
canopy overhead was closing streets you could plainly see were empty.
The map is not in metres: measured against the parked buses, whose
length and height agree independently, it runs about
1.5x life size — so the character and every one of its motion
constants are scaled by the same factor. That keeps the proportions
honest without re-baking anything.
Controls — Elbaf's, key for key: WASD move,
Space jump (twice in the air), Shift sprint,
Q strike, hold F for the sustained move,
R heavy, E rocket / flash, T the big
one, G Gear Second, hold V Balloon,
H Haki, C roll, Tab swap. On a
phone: left thumb steers, right thumb looks, tap to strike ,
hold for the sustained version .
